Happy Valentine’s Day peeps!!
I couldn’t let a festive day go by without decorating my
nails in tribute. After much deliberation, I decided to just cover my nails
with some simple heart shapes. I took my inspiration from this awesome art done
by Chalkboard Nails (My favourite nail blog - Sarah’s swatches and nail art are
amazing! And I’m jealous of her lovely nails!), but switched it up a bit and
went with hearts instead of lips.
My base colour is Zoya Kristen, and I free-handed the hearts
with the small end of a dotting tool. A simple case of drawing two small stripes, slightly diagonally, until they meet in a heart shape. The colours I used are: China Glaze’s
White on White, OPI’s Kiss Me On My Tulips (pink), Rimmel’s Hot Gossip (red), and Silver
Multi Glitter by Barry M. Everything’s topped off with one coat of NYC In a New
York Minute topcoat, and one coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails topcoat (I’m
using up some half-used bottles before I open a new bottle of Seche Vite!)
I’m pretty happy with the way these turned out, although my
right hand looks terrible – I need to practice painting my art with my leftie!
Although, I’m actually better at painting full coats of polish using my left
hand, so it’s a bit weird.
Anywizzle, I hope everyone has a nice Valentine’s Day, and you
get to spend it with someone you love! I, as always, will be at home watching
TV – I will be spending some quality hours with my most recent TV crush, Arrow, and looking forward to them
immensely. Maybe I’ll have some sweet dreams of being saved by The Hood
afterwards! :-p
Ciao for now! x
i looooooove this colour scheme, so prettyxx
